Warm & Inviting | Colour meets American Oak
If you recognise this design, no you’re not seeing double… it could be because you have also viewed our other 70s inspired project in Auburn Avenue. A love child from the same architect, the American Oak square edge look takes a different approach, this time with paired with dark Granite benchtops and a blend of black, blue, turquoise and green open shelving in the kitchen. The striking bookshelf in the library features the same beautiful natural materials, however has a pop of white and red to create a visual contrast that just works.
To create continuity throughout the home, the lounge entertainment unit uses the same materials as the kitchen - with a mix of storage and open shelving. While in other areas, such as the under-stair wardrobe, practicality reigns and the wardrobe is cleverly designed to make use of every inch of space.
Playing around with colour and natural finishes like granite and timber veneer adds playful intrigue to the design, while maintaining the high-end quality finish that is an entertainers (and photographers) dream.
